Rich Pitman ran a competition with the children at Rogiet Primary School. The children were given the chance to create a villain, using a drawing and creating his or her past.
The winner would receive a signed copy of Jimmy Threepwood and the Veil of Darkness, plus their villain would appear in future books (Winners name written in the credits).
There was due to be one winner but the entries were that good two winners were picked – – –
Megan Jones – With Deep Silver and
Isla Morga-Ruffley – with Cutless Twinhead.
